The Human Relations Department will host Kansas City’s 5th Annual KC Government Contracting & Procurement (KCGCP) Forum on Tuesday, August 9, 2011. This year’s theme is “Power Up Your Connections”. The KCGCP Forum is designed to showcase government contracting and procurement opportunities to businesses in the Kansas City metropolitan area. This event provides critical information, networking and access to local and regional business partners. As a Kansas City area businessperson interested in bidding on government contracts, please make it a point to attend this event.
KCMO City departments, local municipalities, state agencies, and federal agencies will fill the exhibit area with informational displays promoting opportunities to area businesses. Focus will be on providing attendees with details of government needs, as well as insight into the best business practices for submitting bids.
Crucial information for growing businesses, networking opportunities, access to numerous new business partners, new connections to providers of quality products and services, all provided in one event. This event will prove to be an extremely beneficial opportunity for everyone who participates. KCGCP Forum will feature an Awards Recognition Luncheon Ceremony that honors contractors and small businesses that have demonstrated a commitment to minority business development and growth.

An Awards Luncheon, recognizing local contractors that have consistently demonstrated a commitment to small business development in the categories of Professional Service, Construction Workforce, and Commodities, will begin at 11:30 a.m. There is a $40.00 charge to attend (limited seating).
